WHAT IS HONEY ?


Honey is the most important primary product of beekeeping both from a quantitative and an economic point of view. Honey is also used by humankind in ancient time. Honey uniqueness, scarcity and desirability connected it to divinity very early in human history and thus ascribing to its symbolic, magic and therapeutic significance. Much of the myth and many of the traditional medicinal uses until today.

Honey is the natural sweet material produced by honey bee from the nectar of blossoms or from the secretion of living parts of plants, which honey bee collected, distorted and combined with specific substances of their own, stored and leaved in the honey comb to ripen and matured.

Honey contains sugars like glucose and fructose and minerals like magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium chlorine, sulphur, iron and phosphate. Honey provides us vitamins B1, B2, C, B6, B5 and B3. Moreover, honey contains copper, iodine, and zinc in small quantities. Several kinds of hormones are also present in honey.

Honey serves as antioxidants which prevents from cancer and heart disease. Honey is also easily digested which can be used for chronic intestinal problems like constipation. Honey is rapidly diffused through the blood that makes the brain function better and enhances the blood flow.

Honey is a natural antiseptic which is effective to wounds healing by killing the bacteria on the wounds. Other than anti-bacterial, honey also draws body fluids and nutrients to the wound area that can accelerate the healing.


 

HOW TO USE HONEY

  • Having the honey on bread, toast or cracker biscuit helps hold the honey in the stomach for as long as possible.
  • Try having a teaspoon to a tablespoon of the honey three to four times a day, ideally one hour before meals and again at bedtime.
  • Many people have knowledgeable good results if they have the honey straight from the teaspoon.
  • Try to have nothing to drink immediately after having the honey so as not to dilute the honey.
  • It is 100% pure honey so it does not get in the way with regular medications.
